Round-table: tower crane inspections
Pascal Ducrot joined Potain in 1989 as an engineer in the electric-electronic design office in France. He is now director of technical support for tower cranes, responsible for the customer hotline, customer satisfaction, product configuration, technical inspections and training teams.
He has served in many capacities during his time at Potain/Manitowoc. From 1989 he spent 12 years in the engineering department at the Potain factory and headquarters near Lyon, France. He held different project manager positions, but mainly in electrics and electronic designs.
In 2001 he became quality manager for customers, and in 2003 moved to the service department as customer service support manager for electrics and electronics.
He became tower crane technical support manager in 2006, and four years later was promoted to director of the tower crane European call centre. In 2013 he was appointed lift solution director, managing special tower crane applications and product customisation design. He moved to his current position in 2016.
Pascal has a degree in electronics.
