Alfonso Ratti

Project manager, Itinera

Alfonso Ratti graduated in Civil Engineering at the University of Parma, Italy, and has been registered at the Order of Engineers since 1995.

He worked as a technical director in the public works construction sector for another company before joining Itinera S.p.A in Italy. Since 2005 he has been technical director of the construction site, in the sector of public works construction.

His main works at Itinera include the following:

• Construction of two lots of road in Valfabbrica (Perugia) for ANAS S.p.A. This was the construction of a stretch of road about 7 km long and two tunnels.

• Cumbidanovu Dam in Orgosolo (Sardinia). Execution of excavation and consolidation works of the body dam.

• Asti – Cuneo motorway. Construction of an artificial 800 metre tunnel and four overpasses with steel deck.

• Frejus safety tunnel on the Italian side and construction of 16 pedestrian tunnels connecting the old tunnel and the new safety one.

• Seismic improvement of the viaducts of lot one (Altare railway, Funivie, Tine, Tonifrè-Geve and Borio) system adaptation of the “Bricco” tunnel on the Turin to Savona motorway.

• Seismic improvement of the Civasola, Volpara, Binaghetto, Rivi Freddi, Campedello, and Roccaprebalza viaducts on the A15 AutoCisa motorway.

• Demolition and reconstruction work on the Gravagna viaduct on the A15 AutoCisa motorway.
