Aviv Carmel is co-founder and chairman at Skyline Cockpit.
It is part of Skyline Cranes, Israel’s largest tower crane rental company with a fleet of around 190 tower cranes. Carmel has been part of the crane business since the 1980s and takes the technical lead at Skyline as chief consultant and head of research and development.
Skyline Cockpit incorporates advanced robotics and automation technologies to remotely operate tower cranes from the ground in a full simulator-style operating environment.
Skyline Cranes was co-founded in 2004 by Carmel, Baruch Parnes and Guy Parnes. It provides ‘full service’ tower crane rental, including lift planning, logistics and engineering. In addition to its own fleet, Skyline also services many hundreds of tower cranes for multiple customers.
