Rupert Cook

Associate service director, Falcon Tower Crane Services

After starting off from school in electrical contracting Rupert Cook moved into the hydraulics, mechanics and electrics sector, maintaining simple machines to complex materials handling equipment. This work took him all over the UK and mainland Europe.

Starting a family made him realise he needed to be closer to home so, joining Falcon in 2006 as an electrician gave the opportunity to transfer skills to tower cranes, working in the Norfolk, UK, depot.

Some years later Cook was invited to work in the field with some of the most experienced people in the industry giving another amazing opportunity to develop into an all-round multi-skilled field engineer.

In 2013, taking on the service manager’s position allowed him to develop the role from the unique perspective of the people he had worked alongside. Three years later, in 2016, he took on the role of associate service director.

Cook has been able to explore innovation in the industry, working hard over the last four years to reach the goal of eliminating the need for diesel generation on construction sites in the UK.
