Teddy Holt
Operations director, Radius Group
Teddy Holt is operations director at Radius Group in the UK, where he leads the company’s lifting and handling capabilities, including tower cranes, specialist fully managed lifting operations, and lifting assurance consultancy. With a career spanning nearly 20 years, he has delivered complex lifting solutions across construction, infrastructure, petrochemical, power generation, and defence sectors.
Holt began his professional life in UK military aviation, specializing in helicopter external sling load operations (HESLO) and serving in operational theatres where safety and precision is paramount. This background shaped a career focused on operational risk management and the safe execution of critical lifts.
He is widely regarded as a leading voice in lifting innovation, most recently through Radius Group’s work with Winvic Construction and Skyline Cockpit on the remote ground operation of tower cranes – a development that reflects broader trends in automation, safety, and visibility across the industry.
Beyond his work at Radius, Holt is one of the chairmen of the Industry Lifting Lead Appointed Person Group (ILLAPG) in the UK, helping to shape the future of the lifting industry through collaboration, standards development, and knowledge sharing.
Combining technical rigour with a practical approach, he continues to drive improvements in lifting performance, assurance, and safety culture across the built environment.
